Assistant Professor in the Department of Tourism Management at the University of Patras
Dr. Eleni Paraskevi Paraschi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Tourism Management at the University of Patras, specializing in the Management of Tourism Organizations with a focus on transportation. She has extensive professional experience in operational and administrative positions within the Civil Aviation Authority.
Her research interests center on tourism transportation, particularly in the areas of safety, crisis management, environmental performance, sustainability, and stakeholder interactions. She has taught at the Department of Tourism Management, the Department of Business Administration at the University of Patras, and the Hellenic Open University.
She has developed and patented the Airport Business Excellence Model (ABEM™), a holistic model for evaluating airport performance, the ESRAM™ framework for environmental risk assessment, and the Quality of Life Tourism Model (QoL™) for Greek islands.
Dr. Paraschi is a member of the European Network on the Impacts of Climate Change on Aviation (EN-ICCA) of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), which focuses on ensuring aviation safety against climate change-related risks. She is also a member of the Hellenic Aviation Society (EAE), the International Society for Development and Sustainability (ISDS), the German Aviation Research Society (GARS), and the International Association of Airport Executives (IAAE).
Her scientific work has been published in prestigious academic journals such as Tourism Management and Transport Policy, and has been presented at international conferences in Greece and abroad.
